Lottie Moon

Dear First Family,

If you have attended a Baptist church during your lifetime, you might have heard the name Lottie Moon during the Christmas season. Lottie Moon was a Baptist missionary who served in China from 1873 to 1912. During her time there, she witnessed firsthand the problem that many people had never heard the gospel. Burdened by this, she wrote letters to American churches, urging them to send more missionaries and provide support for their efforts so that the Chinese people could hear the gospel for the first time.

These letters later inspired the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. 100% of our gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering enable gospel transformation among the unreached all around the world. Lottie's passionate plea for increased prayer and support continues to inspire and motivate many to this day. During our Christmas Eve services at 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm, we will be collecting a special offering solely for this purpose.

The International Mission Board offers excellent resources to learn more about this pioneering Christian. I particularly enjoy reading her letters, which can be found on the IMB website. If you would like, you can follow this link to read as well: https://www.imb.org/about/lottie-moon/

She worked tirelessly to spread the message of Jesus so that people could be given the opportunity to be saved. Her work continues to inspire the church to do the work that the Lord has called us to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

Servant for His Glory,
Pastor Robert
