Easter Recap

First Family,

What a joy it was to celebrate Easter with all of you this past Sunday! It was a wonderful morning, filled with the movement of the Spirit. The sanctuary was filled with many first-time guests, and we are prayerfully following up with the hope that they will join us again.

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation to all the volunteers who helped make our church a welcoming place of worship last Sunday. One of our guests remarked to me when I introduced myself, "This is such a welcoming place. You're the third person to approach me." It was a joy to hear that we were all doing our part to welcome our first-time guests. Thank you.

Later that day it was fun to see all the social media posts of families taking their Easter pictures in front of our Easter cross. I want to express my gratitude to our team of volunteers who built, filled, and staffed the cross for the enjoyment of our community. You helped create memories that will last for many years.

Last but certainly not least, I wanted to express my appreciation to our worship ministry for the amazing job they did last Sunday. It was so impressive to see the platform filled with musicians who were fully prepared to lead in worship. I know you put in a great deal of effort to prepare for Easter, from the extra rehearsals to participating in both services. Thank you for your dedication! It was truly an amazing time of worship, and that is largely due to your leadership.

April and I both said to one another that this was one of our favorite Easter Sundays. We are grateful to be members of the First Baptist Church of Alexandria. It is a joy for me to be your pastor.

Sincerely,
Robert
